JEWELRY
INSPIRATION
ABOUT
It is made of sterling silver (925) made by hand in my workshop.
It is inspired by these beautiful insects called lepidoptera, or butterflies. I am fascinated by these gracious and fragile beings and they always inspire me.
To make this ring, I chose the Monarch butterfly, a symbol in America and especially where I live in Mexico. This is a migratory butterfly that moves twice a year in groups of millions of individuals between Canada and Mexico (over 4,000 km). Monarch butterflies spend their winter in Mexico before returning north.
The butterfly which adorns this ring was engraved and carefully sawed by hand. I then soldered it on a half round band ring.
It is 3 x 2 cm (1.181 x 0.787 inches).
The ring is a half round band of 2 mm wide (0.079 inches).
Polished. Shiny finish.
