CUSTOM ORDER JEWELRY
This ring is made of sterling silver (925) made by hand in my workshop.
I named it Ga Yixe. This design refers to the Pre-Hispanic civilization and more particularly to the treasures found in the Tumb 7 of Monte Alban in Oaxaca, Mexico. This design was reserved for the the priestesses of the goddess called Grass 9 or Ga Yixe in zapotec language. She is the goddess of fertility. This pattern is one of the numerous ones found on the objects and jewelry accompanying the priestess.
This ring is really one of a kind. It is artisan etched. The etching process takes times but the result allows appreciating the intricate and delicate patterns. The bas relief effect is really nice. The deeper part is matte and the upper part has been sanded and polished. Shiny finish.
Etching is an artisanal process which produces a unique design each time I use it. Two pieces with a same design will never be exactly the same by the hazards of the process. Each detail makes a unique piece.
The band is etched with Zapotec meanders.
The band is 12 mm large (0.472 inches).
This is a custom order. Please, specify your ring size when you order it. Thanks!
Thickness of the ring: this model can be made with thicknesses of 1 mm, 1.5 mm or 2 mm. For reference, go to the last photo of the slideshow.
The ring thickness on the model is 1mm.
Important: depending on your finger size, the solder at the back of your ring will show an interruption in the pattern with a plain vertical and in order to keep an overall harmony. Each rind is custom made and each finish will also be custom made (please refer to the example picture at the end of the photo series).
