CUSTOM ORDER JEWELRY
They are made of sterling silver (925) handmade in my studio.
I hand sawn two birds in a sterling silver sheet that I handmade on a rolling mill. They were then decorated with a unique pattern that I created and then hand stamped. This stamped drawing symbolizes the feathers of this bird of prey.
These earrings are made in a simple style, inspired by tapestries and little innocent pattern in the middle Ages, hence the choice of a medieval tone name for this bird of prey.
Eleonora’s falcon is a great day and migratory raptor. This name was given in honor of Eleanor of Arborea Sardinian (1350-1404), famous for having established the first law to protect raptors. It is likely that this choice was not motivated by the desire to protect the hawk, but to reserve the use for nobles.
I eventually soldered the ear wires on the back for an antique style. I then added small sterling silver beads.
They are 2.5 x 2.3cm (0.984 x 0.905 inches).
