Vegsivir, Viking ring in sterling silver
Vegsivir is one of the magic symbols of Iceland, which is called Galdrastafir in Iceland. They are taken from old Icelandic grimoires from the 17th century.
These representations are much older, probably invented during medieval times. Used in the form of magic talismans, they were developed by taking up the patterns of Celtic runes by giving them different properties, in particular protection.
They are an integral part of popular Icelandic beliefs.
