These few lines taken from Saint-Exupéry’s book inspired these sterling silver earrings named “A Thousand Miles”. They evoke the idea of distance, travel and gentle solitude, so present throughout the story.

The earrings take the form of an antique-style frame, with a softly raised border, reminiscent of decorative frames found on objects from the early 20th century. The vertical sides are straight, while the horizontal lines are entirely curved, creating a visual balance and giving the impression of a vintage object, born from a romantic and contemplative era.

Against a deliberately darkened background, created through the patination of the silver, the silhouette of the Little Prince stands out with simplicity. It appears as a light, almost fragile shadow, surrounded by finely cut small stars. These stars recall the desert night sky often described by the author, and evoke observation, silence, and the connection between earth and sky, recurring themes in the story.
