JEWELRY
INSPIRATION
The "Anoki" ring takes the form of a shield ring, meaning a narrow band supporting a wider top. Here, the circular top is engraved with an Indian floral mandala, made up of leaves, petals, and flowers, creating a harmonious pattern that evokes the bloom of a large flower.
The Indian name "Anoki," which we have given to this ring, means "different" or "unique," reflecting the singularity of this piece, which becomes a meaningful and characterful jewelry item.
A mandala is a complex symbolic diagram, usually circular and symmetrical, used in Hindu and Buddhist traditions to represent the cosmos, the universe, or an imaginary realm. Mandalas are tools for meditation and spirituality, serving as supports for contemplation, focus, and inner balance. They symbolize truth, harmony, and enlightenment.
This ring features a particular type of floral mandala: the Pookalam. It is an Indian floral rangoli, an ephemeral creation made with colored petals during the Onam festival, the main celebration of Kerala, India. These circular designs are meant to welcome the spirit of King Mahabali and symbolize prosperity, joy, beauty, and a sacred connection with nature.
Wearing this ring surrounds you with the symbolism of flowers and Indian spirituality. It is an invitation to meditation, contemplation, and serenity, a reminder of the ephemeral yet precious nature of life, and a talisman connecting you to the strength of ancient traditions.
