Carpe Diem, engraved Latin quote ring in sterling silver

This sterling silver ring is engraved all around its outer band with the famous Latin phrase Carpe Diem.

Taken from a poem by the Roman philosopher and poet Horace, this expression means: “Seize the present day without worrying about tomorrow.” It invites us to live fully in the moment, to savor each day without being consumed by the uncertainties of the future.

But this philosophy does not advocate excess. As an Epicurean, Horace viewed happiness as the result of balance: true joy is born from temperance, wisdom, and inner peace. It’s about appreciating life in its simplest, truest form — without turmoil or extravagance.

Thickness of the ring: this model can be made with thicknesses of 1 mm, 1.3 mm or 1.6 mm. For reference, go to the last photo of the slideshow.

The ring thickness on the model is 1 mm.

Important: depending on your finger size, the solder at the back of your ring will show an interruption in the pattern with a plain vertical and in order to keep an overall harmony. Each rind is custom made and each finish will also be custom made (please refer to the example picture at the end of the photo series).
