Spirit of the forest, Japanese Kodama earrings in silver and green tourmaline

In Japanese folklore, kodama are tree spirits, usually invisible, but sometimes manifesting as small white beings with vacant, yet captivating eyes. For Miyazaki, their presence signals a healthy forest. But when the forest withers, the kodama vanish with it, like a whisper fading into the silence of dying woods.

At the heart of the “Spirit of the Forest” earrings lie a pair of oval green tourmalines, set horizontally like mysterious, watchful eyes. They are mounted like mossy eyes, luminous and piercing, symbolizing the kodama and their protective vigilance. Their deep, vibrant hue evokes the sap of ancient trees and the vital energy of nature.
