Ice inflorescence, baroque flower necklace in silver and labradorite

Ice Inflorescence is a necklace adorned with a stunning round labradorite cabochon, glowing with intense blue reflections and crossed by delicate natural fissures. Its shades, shifting between dark and light blue, veined with black lines, evoke a frozen landscape where vegetation, trapped under frost and ice, preserves its beauty for eternity. It resembles a miniature winter scene, where the silence of the cold enhances every detail.

This pendant was designed as a baroque flower, rich in detail, with its heart formed by this hypnotic labradorite, like a fragment of nature encased in ice. The silver setting has been oxidized and patinated to accentuate every relief, giving the piece an antique charm, as if it had been forgotten in a snowy case for centuries.

The cabochon rests on a circular plate barely larger than itself, flanked on either side by two stylized flowers. Each flower’s center is a silver sphere, surrounded by three delicately crafted petals. They appear as petrified blooms, preserved like relics of winter.

Beneath the pendant, two charms swing gently, one with a silver bead and the other with a pale gray labradorite showing blue flashes. They evoke two frozen drops of water, suspended in time, moving subtly with the wearer.

The term inflorescence, from the Latin inflorescere (“to bloom”), refers to the arrangement of flowers on a plant stem. This organization, often resembling a fractal pattern, varies among species and gives some plants a harmonious and almost mathematical structure. An inflorescence is a cluster of flowers on a branch, each carried by a pedicel stemming from the main axis, or rachis.
