The fox’s wisdom, quote from the little Prince pendant in silver

This sterling silver pendant is inspired by one of the most touching passages in The Little Prince, the timeless masterpiece by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The round medal is engraved with the famous quote spoken by the fox, in french, whom the Little Prince learns to tame:

 

« On ne voit bien qu’avec le cœur. L’essentiel est invisible pour les yeux. »

or in english :

“It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”

 

These words, spoken at the moment of farewell, encapsulate the emotional wisdom at the heart of the story. The fox teaches the Little Prince that love, connection, and the bonds we patiently build give people and things their true value. This piece of jewelry pays tribute to that gentle and profound life lesson.

Just below the quote, separated by a tiny star — a subtle nod to the distant planet of the Little Prince — is engraved the author’s name, Saint-Exupéry, a reminder of the origin of this universal message.

“It is only with the heart…” means that only through sensitivity, sincere attention, and the ability to love and understand beyond appearances can we perceive real beauty and truth.
