JEWELRY
INSPIRATION
Step into the enchanted world of The woodland hare with this poetic silver brooch — a creation that captures the wild spirit and untamed grace of this emblematic creature from ancient forests. Silent and swift, mysterious and elusive, the hare embodies both the quickness of instinct and the wisdom of the natural world.
The inspiration behind this piece comes from a haunting quote by Scottish poet Valérie Gillies:
“If you catch a hare and look into its eyes, you will see the whole world.”
From this evocative image emerged a brooch that seems to hold a secret of its own — as if the hare, frozen mid-leap, carries with it a glimpse of the invisible.
The brooch takes the shape of a leaping hare, captured in full flight through tall grasses. Its body is finely engraved with vegetal patterns: supple stems, small leaves, and delicate flowers conjure the quiet richness of the undergrowth. A few butterflies — symbols of transformation and lightness — dance along its path. Together, they form a miniature, living landscape filled with meaning.
In Celtic and Norse traditions, the hare is closely linked to the Moon, to regeneration, and to intuition. As a totemic animal, it guards the thresholds — those liminal places where the visible meets the unseen. This brooch thus becomes a talisman: it speaks of nocturnal races, of untamed natural forces, and of the fleeting poetry of wild moments.
Wearing The woodland hare is a way to claim a piece of that instinctive freedom, a quiet strength rooted in intuition and wild beauty. Fastened to a scarf or garment, it naturally draws the eye — a symbol of fierce elegance, of graceful mystery, and of a deep connection to nature.
