Persian moon, silk road brooch in silver and amber

"Persian moon" emerges like a visual poem — a finely wrought silver brooch whose intricate engravings pay homage to the millennia-old artistic traditions of Iran, a land of light and ancient knowledge. The Kashmiri-inspired motifs, drawn from the celebrated boteh designs — precursors of the paisley pattern — unfurl in vegetal arabesques, blending stylized cypress leaves, pomegranate flowers, and delicate floral scrolls. Every engraved line seems to carry the breath of the desert winds that once swept through caravans laden with gold, silk, and incense.

At the heart of this miniature tableau lies a deep honey-colored amber cabochon, the hue of sunset over the Alborz mountains or the golden steppes of the Dasht-e Kavir desert. This organic gem, born from fossilized conifer resin, has since antiquity served as a protective talisman — a solar symbol, a sacred relic once carried in the pouches of apothecaries and along the great trade routes of Asia.

The feminine softness of the outline, the sensual curves of the silver, evoke the elegance of Persian calligraphy, where every stroke is a silent prayer — a tribute to the beauty of the world. The whole composition recalls a Persian miniature, a page from an illuminated Sufi manuscript where stars, flowers, and verses converse in perfect harmony.

"Persian moon" is a fragment of history — an ode to Eastern craftsmanship, to the culture of caravans, and to the mystical soul of Persia. It carries within it the memory of the Silk Roads that once connected the Persian Empire to the far reaches of India, China, and Europe, weaving a dialogue between peoples, fragrances, and wisdoms. To wear it is to surround oneself with an aura of mystery, elegance, memory — and a lunar glow born from ancient tales and vanished civilizations.
