JEWELRY
INSPIRATION
The Rock Art necklace is a silver piece engraved with a deer hunting scene inspired by the famous rock paintings of Barranc de la Valltorta, in the Valencia region of Spain. These prehistoric works, dating to around 10,000 BC, belong to the Epipaleolithic period and were discovered in the Cave of the Horses (Cova dels Cavalls). Classified as a historical monument in 1924, they provide a glimpse into the daily life and rituals of our ancestors.
To honor this ancient artwork, the necklace depicts a scene where the silhouette of a man armed with a bow and arrows can be clearly seen, aiming at a moving herd of deer. This dynamic scene illustrates a collective hunt, symbolizing cooperation and strategy essential for survival at the time.
The engraving is made on a slightly domed disc, giving volume and relief to the piece. The edge of the disc is decorated with a tribal pattern formed of a chain of triangles, symbols of strength, stability, and collaboration, recalling the collective spirit of early human communities.
The Rock Art necklace connects us with our ancestors and their way of life. It is intended for prehistory enthusiasts, lovers of ancient art, and those who appreciate jewelry that carries history. The engraving, intentionally slightly rustic, evokes the raw and authentic character of the era while offering contemporary elegance.
Metal: 925 silver
Leather cord length: approx. 35.4 in (90 cm)
Finish: slightly rustic
