The "Soleil d’Orient" ring features a geometric frieze of suns inspired by the Hispano-Moorish motifs of the Mudéjar style. The term Mudéjar refers to Muslims who remained in Spain after the 11th century and were allowed to continue practicing Islam before being gradually expelled. They left behind a unique artistic legacy that blends their Islamic heritage with European Gothic influences, visible in many architectural masterpieces throughout Spain.

This distinctive style also extends into France, notably in the Oriental Salon of the Château de Villandry. While this château is famous for its magnificent gardens, those who have explored its interior have likely been captivated by the ceiling of the Oriental Salon, adorned with celestial motifs reminiscent of a tale from One Thousand and One Nights.

The "Soleil d’Orient" ring celebrates the creativity and cultural fusion expressed through the depiction of the sun — the symbol of light and life. The geometric sun motifs engraved along the band evoke the richness and sophistication of Mudéjar art. Each ray of the sun is an invitation to honor the beauty of cultural diversity and the enduring artistic heritage it has inspired.

Finish: polished and lightly oxidized.

Thickness of the ring: this model can be made with thicknesses of 1 mm, 1.3 mm or 1.6 mm. For reference, go to the last photo of the slideshow.

The ring thickness on the model is 1 mm.

Important: depending on your finger size, the solder at the back of your ring will show an interruption in the pattern with a plain vertical and in order to keep an overall harmony. Each rind is custom made and each finish will also be custom made (please refer to the example picture at the end of the photo series).
