Atlantis, Greek legend ring in sterling silver and larimar

The legend of Atlantis, told by the Greek philosopher Plato in his dialogues Timaeus and Critias, has crossed the ages, feeding the collective imagination. This sunken, mysterious, and captivating city is said to have vanished beneath the waves in a single day and night. But what remains of that lost world? A myth, a forgotten truth… or perhaps a mineral echo from the depths of time?

It is this enigma, suspended between reality and imagination, that inspired this silver ring adorned with a rectangular larimar cabochon. This rare stone, with shades of sky blue and foamy white, evokes the surface of a shallow tropical sea — luminous, transparent, and serene. Its natural patterns resemble calm waters streaked with drifting foam, as if gazing down on coral reefs from the sky.

Look closer, and tiny brown or black inclusions appear, scattered like islands on an ancient nautical map. Forgotten lands? Memory fragments of a sunken continent? Could one of them be hiding the remains of Atlantis?

Some even call larimar the Atlantis stone, in reference to an esoteric tradition that claims it comes from the crystallized remnants of the lost continent. This mystical name adds a magical aura to the piece: what if this stone were a real fragment of the myth, washed ashore from another age?

The silver setting of the ring is delicately engraved with a stylized floral motif: five long petals radiating from a central point. The design evokes a sea anemone — a flower of the deep, with soft tentacles, symbol of underwater grace and anchoring. It strengthens the aquatic theme of the ring and ties it to the submerged realms of the ocean.
