It is also called the flower of gold or the sun flower. In Greek, its name comes from chrusos, meaning “gold,” and anthemon, meaning “flower,” because it was originally known mainly for its yellow blooms. The chrysanthemum originates from Asia, especially China and Japan, where it has been cultivated for more than 2,500 years. It symbolizes the rising sun and the light that returns after shadow.

Its symbolism is both complex and poetic, as it carries a dual meaning. In Asia, it represents longevity, life, joy, and nobility of heart. In Europe, it is associated with mourning, tribute, and eternal remembrance. In Japan, the chrysanthemum is linked to the imperial family and to the national emblem; it embodies purity, integrity, and quiet strength. In China, the chrysanthemum (菊花, júhuā) is a symbol of longevity and wisdom. It is consumed as an infusion (菊花茶, júhuā chá) for its medicinal properties recognized in traditional practice. This flower is also associated with autumn, maturity, the cycle of life, and beauty that endures despite the cold.

In the language of flowers, the chrysanthemum symbolizes positive, constant, and sincere love. Offering a chrysanthemum can express fidelity, support, and light during times of transition. Important: depending on your finger size, the solder at the back of your ring will show an interruption in the pattern with a plain vertical and in order to keep an overall harmony. Each rind is custom made and each finish will also be custom made (please refer to the example picture at the end of the photo series).
