Onyx moon, oriental earrings in silver and onyx

“Onyx Moon” is a pair of earrings set with black onyx cabochons, cut in an elongated oval shape. The cabochons rest on a silver plate adorned with a lobed edge, reminiscent of the majestic arches and scroll-like forms found in Oriental architecture. This design gives the earrings a timeless dimension, as if carrying the legacy of a culture rich in symbols and artistic traditions.

On either side of each cabochon, two crescent moons frame the stone. The moon, in its waxing phase, represents growth, transformation, and hope. In many Eastern cultures, the moon symbolizes femininity, mystery, and hidden wisdom. The crescents surrounding the onyx emphasize the harmony between light and darkness.

These earrings have been crafted in a slightly aged style, evoking ancient treasures unearthed from an old jewelry box. They carry the aura of a piece imbued with history, as if traveling through time. This patinated finish adds a touch of authenticity and nostalgia, as if each earring had been hand-shaped by an artisan of another era, only to be forgotten and rediscovered years later.
