The “Mirror of the Soul” necklace is a piece of profound symbolic and aesthetic richness, created to capture the very essence of the human soul. Inspired by Aztec philosophy and the ancestral traditions of pre-Hispanic cultures of Mexico, this sterling silver and carnelian pendant invites you on an intimate journey of self-exploration.

At the heart of the necklace lies a finely crafted diamond-shaped design, adorned with an intricate geometric pattern known as the diamond motif. This pattern, found throughout many pre-Hispanic cultures in Mexico —particularly among the Aztecs— carries multiple layers of meaning. Some consider it a variant of the well-known “Eye of God”, inspired by the scaled skin of the god Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent. It is believed to embody the four fundamental energies of human existence and the four cardinal directions. Its center represents our being — our soul. Others interpret the diamond as the image of a pyramid reflected upon water, symbolizing the inner self and its mirror in the outer world.

The center of this diamond —this inner axis or core— holds a deep, mesmerizing red carnelian. Its color evokes the inner flame that burns within each of us.
