INSPIRATION
The name of these earrings, “Nīlā Pakṣī,” means “blue bird” in Hindi. It refers to the design of this piece, inspired by the distant lands of India and the refined aesthetic of its iconic birds, such as the peacock.
These half-circle earrings are delicately engraved with oriental motifs reminiscent of mandalas — symbols of cosmic harmony and inner balance. The scalloped edge, shaped into regular festoons, evokes stylized feathers, as if each earring were unfolding a graceful wing.
Each piece is adorned with a cabochon of amazonite, a naturally blue-green stone whose soft hue recalls the iridescent plumage of royal birds. This gemstone brings a touch of celestial freshness, enhancing the reference to the nīlā pakṣī, the blue bird — a symbol of freedom, grace, and spirituality.
These earrings are an invitation to an inner journey, blending poetry, elegance, and deep symbolism.
