Sirocco, Tuareg compass rose ring in silver, chalcedony and cultured pearl

This silver ring is a unique piece inspired by the compass rose, a universal symbol of direction and inner journey. It is named Sirocco, after the hot, dry, and burning Saharan wind that crosses North Africa and brushes the shores of the Mediterranean.

The ring takes the shape of a cross, recalling the structure of ancient compass roses engraved by navigators. At its center, a small silver dome rises like a miniature sun, a point of radiance and orientation. On the branches perpendicular to the band, two blue chalcedony drops evoke the precious and rare water of the desert, as well as the Tuareg people, called the "Blue Men" for the indigo-dyed veils they wear. These stones symbolize both freshness, wisdom, and the endless horizon of the sky.

On the parallel branches, two white cultured pearl cabochons appear like tiny luminous tents. They evoke the white tents of Saharan nomads, a symbol of hospitality, welcome, and protection in the vastness of the desert. They also recall purity and the delicate balance between life and aridity.

The band, engraved with airy hand-carved motifs, evokes sand carried by the wind, the ephemeral swirls of dunes, and the invisible breath that has sculpted the desert for millennia.

Sirocco is a symbol of wandering and freedom, a tribute to the desert and to those who cross it, guided by the stars, the wind, and the memory of the oases.
