Red sun, Egyptian earrings in silver, gold and carnelian

The "Red Sun" earrings are inspired by ancient Egypt and the solar deity, symbolizing life and rebirth. In Egyptian mythology, the sun god Ra (or Re) is the creator of the universe, traversing the sky in his golden barque and illuminating the world with his light. Each sunrise represented the triumph of life over darkness.

These earrings capture the essence of Egyptian art through a clean geometric design: two vertically stacked rectangles, evoking a cartouche. This sacred symbol, which enclosed a pharaoh’s name, protected their essence and represented all that the sun illuminates—both the visible and invisible worlds.

The silver is finely engraved with delicate lines that mimic the sun’s rays and softly reflect light. At the center, a small deep-red carnelian cabochon evokes solar fire and vital energy. In Egypt, this sacred stone was associated with protection, strength, and the passage to the afterlife. Carnelian adorned funerary amulets, including those of Isis and Horus, to guide the soul on its eternal journey.

At the bottom of the cartouche, a gold disc represents the sun itself—the source of warmth, light, and eternity. This golden accent adds richness and harmony while reinforcing the solar symbolism of the piece.

The "Red Sun" earrings celebrate the beauty and spirituality of ancient Egypt, uniting the three essential elements of the solar divine: silver for light, gold for eternity, and carnelian for life.
