“Toward the moon” is a pair of sterling silver earrings shaped like triangles, whose curved sides and rounded tips give them the softness of an arrow—firm yet delicate—pointing the way forward. They evoke the path, the quest, and the determination to follow one’s direction.

On each earring, an eagle in full flight rises toward the crescent moon. This image tells a symbolic journey: that of a free spirit crossing the night to reach the light.

For Native Americans, particularly the Lakota and Cherokee, the eagle is seen as a messenger between the earthly world and the celestial realm. Its powerful wings allow it to cross the frontier of worlds, and some traditions recount that it flies up to the moon to carry human prayers to the spirits. The moon, often regarded as a benevolent grandmother, casts her gentle light across the darkness of the night. The eagle flying toward her embodies strength, courage, and perseverance through the shadows.
