ABOUT
This pendant is inspired by an archeological object made by the Aztec people who were a prehispanic tribe of Mexico. It is called a teponaxtl or horizontal drum made in stone. It was used it numerous Aztec ceremonies. It represents Xochipilli, the god of music, love, games, beauty, dance, flowers and poetry. It would have been made between 1325 and 1521 after Jesus Christ. It is located in the national museum of anthropology of Mexico.
Metal: sterling silver.
Dimensions: about 4.2cm x 2.2cm (or 1.65 inches x 0.86 inches).
Length of the necklace: about 90 cm.
