The Alicanto, a legendary figure from the traditions of the Atacama Desert near the Andes Mountains, comes to life in this silver brooch.

In Chilean mythology, this mysterious bird feeds on gold and silver, making it a perfect subject to be represented in this precious metal. At night, its wings shimmer with metallic reflections, resembling the light of treasures hidden deep within the earth, and its eyes glow with an enigmatic brilliance.

Considered a good-luck bird by miners, the Alicanto symbolizes fortune, wealth, and prosperity. It is said that following its flight could lead to veins of gold, but only pure-hearted seekers would find the treasure, while the greedy would become lost in the desert. This makes the Alicanto not only a mystical guide but also a figure of protection and justice.
