In the heart of the oak, Celtic tree necklace in silver and autumn jasper

They say there is an ancient oak hidden deep within the forest, its hollow trunk guarding a long-forgotten secret. Its location has vanished from human memory, and the old tales whisper that only a child with a pure heart may one day rediscover its trace. This ancestral story, passed down in hushed voices around the hearth, draws its roots from Celtic beliefs surrounding the sacred tree: the oak.

Tree of the druids, the oak embodies divine power rooted in the earth. Majestic and unwavering, it stands as a living bridge between the realm of mortals and the celestial spheres. To the Celts, it was a sacred pillar — a conduit of energy between worlds, a prophetic tree through which druids communed with the gods. How many secrets, how much wisdom and how many prophecies has it overheard beneath its ancient boughs?

This necklace is inspired by that silent power. It rests upon a triangular silver plate, organically shaped like a shard of bark torn from a thousand-year-old trunk. At its center lies a marquise-cut autumn jasper cabochon. With warm hues of russet brown and deep green, the stone mirrors the shifting colors of oak leaves in the fall — that fleeting moment when nature begins to sleep, yet still resists the coming winter.

Framing the stone on either side, two hand-cut oak leaves in silver form a delicate woodland setting. Tiny silver spheres complete the design, like miniature acorns — the sacred fruit of the oak, carriers of the world's memory. In Celtic legend, acorns were said to contain the knowledge of the entire universe, passed on to forest totems such as wild boars who gained wisdom by consuming them.

One can imagine this necklace adorning the neck of a druidess in a forest clearing, a shaman invoking sylvan spirits, or a fae being — an elf, dryad, or guardian of the woods — bearing within her the deep harmony of nature.
