The eye of nature, druidic necklace in silver and labradorite

The necklace “The Eye of Nature” was created with the idea of that mysterious force emanating from the woods, that unsettling sensation that the forest silently observes us when we enter it. In the forests of Europe, countless legends tell of the existence of nature spirits, invisible guardians who watch over the trees, the springs, and the stones. These fantastical beings, sometimes benevolent, sometimes elusive, remind us that nature is not merely a backdrop, but a living entity.

This pendant is directly inspired by the world of druids and druidesses. For the Celts, every natural element was inhabited by a soul: forests were living sanctuaries, springs were seen as gateways to the Otherworld, and stones contained sacred energy. Druids performed their rituals in sacred groves called nemeton, surrounded by majestic trees. The oak, a tree of strength and wisdom, the yew, a symbol of eternity, and the mistletoe, a messenger of light, were among the most venerated plants for their magical and protective powers.

In this spirit, we shaped this necklace like an ancient talisman, a jewel that could have been worn by a druid seeking visions, or by a druidess invoking the hidden forces of the woods. At its center lies a large round labradorite cabochon, a mysterious stone with multiple shifting reflections: light blue, deep blue, fiery orange, golden yellow, woody brown, and deep black. Depending on the light, its glow may evoke a thick mist crossed by rays of light, branches silhouetted against a stormy sky, or fleeting flashes at the heart of an enchanted forest.

Gazing into it, one may feel the call of another world, as if it were not us looking at the stone, but rather the forest itself, casting its gaze upon us through the pendant.

The labradorite is set on two layered silver discs of graduated diameters, enhancing depth and creating a sense of volume. The silver has been oxidized to recall the patina of ancient jewelry, like a fragment unearthed from a forgotten ritual.

This druidic necklace is an offering to the magic of the woods and the mysterious spirit of nature.
