Lily of the valley, flower ring in sterling silver

The Lily of the Valley ring is a true tribute to this charming spring flower, which blooms mainly in May. The lily of the valley is easily recognized by its clusters of small, intensely fragrant white bells that grow on a single stem surrounded by two green leaves. It is mainly found in woodland areas. This emblematic flower is rich in symbolism, although paradoxically very toxic, even deadly if ingested.

In the language of flowers, the lily of the valley represents youthful passion, coquetry, and the return of happiness. It is also the birth flower of May. Lily of the valley anniversaries, on the other hand, celebrate 13 years of marriage in French folklore.

On May 1st, it is traditional to give lily of the valley as a "good luck" charm, a custom still alive in France, Switzerland, Belgium, and Andorra. This practice has its roots in Celtic traditions and Roman ceremonies dedicated to Flora, the goddess of flowers.

Thickness of the ring: this model can be made with thicknesses of 1 mm, 1.3 mm or 1.6 mm. For reference, go to the last photo of the slideshow.

The ring thickness on the model is 1.3 mm.

Important: depending on your finger size, the solder at the back of your ring will show an interruption in the pattern with a plain vertical and in order to keep an overall harmony. Each rind is custom made and each finish will also be custom made (please refer to the example picture at the end of the photo series).
