Hanging garden, Babylonian mystery necklace and pendant in sterling silver and phantom quartz
It is made of sterling silver (925) made by hand in my workshop and a phantom quartz crystal characterized by inclusions that appear to float in the transparent matrix.
These inclusions are like moss evoking a hanging garden in the air. The cabochon is drop-shaped and shows a staging of these inclusions, creating a magical garden in three dimensions.
This pendant obviously remembers the famous Hanging Gardens of Babylon, considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. They remain a mystery since their archaeological remains have never been found, while many other elements of the ancient city have been found, such as the Tower of Babel. Some doubt their location in the city of Babylon; others doubt their real existence...
these hanging gardens were they much more magical than we imagine. They were floating in a bubble, as the matrix of this rock, and are flown in to the abandonment of the city? Alternatively, were they cut teardrop and petrified for eternity in these beautiful phantom quartz?
I suggest you choose the hanging garden that will seduce you. The quartz phantoms are mounted on a hinge system handmade in a rustic way and are accompanied by a long silver chain that allows you to wear in long necklace.
