Asanoha, Japanese hemp leaf ring in sterling silver

This silver ring is engraved with the Japanese pattern known as Asanoha. This ancient geometric motif is inspired by stylized hemp leaves, a symbol deeply rooted in Japanese folklore and traditions.

The hemp leaf, represented by a six-pointed star formed of diamonds that spread like rays, embodies duality and harmony between opposing forces. This regular and infinite geometry reflects stability, balance, and the beauty of nature.

Hemp is associated with rapid growth, vitality, and resilience, making it a symbol of prosperity. In Japanese culture, this pattern is often used to wish strength and good health to newborns, notably through clothing and swaddles. It also appears on kimonos and in decorative arts, expressing vigor, fertility, and renewal.

Thickness of the ring: this model can be made with thicknesses of 1 mm, 1.3 mm or 1.6 mm. For reference, go to the last photo of the slideshow.

The ring thickness on the model is 1 mm.

Important: depending on your finger size, the solder at the back of your ring will show an interruption in the pattern with a plain vertical and in order to keep an overall harmony. Each rind is custom made and each finish will also be custom made (please refer to the example picture at the end of the photo series).
