Autumn hedgehog, animal totem ring in silver and citrine

Autumn is approaching swiftly: the light turns golden, the trees dress in a thousand warm hues, chestnuts crackle by the fire, and nature gently prepares for the long winter rest. Among the creatures that embody this season, the hedgehog, discreet and mysterious, is one of the most evocative.

This ring pays tribute to this little guardian of autumn. Its wide circular plate, framed by a thin welded silver wire, asserts its presence and character. At the center, a yellow citrine cabochon shines, evoking the color of golden leaves drifting in the wind. On either side, two finely sculpted hedgehogs face each other, separated by a motif of delicate plant stems. Small silver beads punctuate the composition, adding depth and texture.

The band, intricately engraved with pointed geometric flowers, evokes the hedgehog’s protective quills. Subtle oxidation highlights the details, enhancing the raw, natural appearance of the piece.

As a totem animal, the hedgehog symbolizes protection, caution, and the ability to turn inward to find inner peace. It also embodies resilience, transformation, and harmony with nature — all values that resonate with the calming cycle of autumn.
