Athena’s olive tree, olive branch earrings in silver and blue zircon

These earrings are an ode to botanic but also to the Greek mythology and to the goddess, Athena.

According to the legend of Cecrops, Athena and Poseidon were arguing about the possession of Attica. They choose as arbitrator Cécrops, the first king of the territory. Poseidon stroked the Acropolis with his trident and creates an invincible black stallion. On the other side, Athena offered an olive tree symbolizing wisdom. Cecrops decided that the present of the goddess was much more useful for her people, and therefore became protector of Athens.

Metal: sterling silver.

Stone: blue zircon.

Length: 4.5cm.

Finish: shiny and oxidized.
