Undergrowth rain, fern earrings in silver with rainforest jasper

A light rain begins to fall on the forest, managing to pierce the dense foliage of the trees to deposit a few drops on the ferns of the forest understory. It is an almost sacred moment, a suspended instant where the forest breathes. These plants, rarely touched by sunlight, patiently wait for the tall trees to bend under the rain so they too may receive the water that gives them life.

The “Undergrowth Rain” earrings carry this discreet magic. They are set with rainforest jasper, a variety of rhyolite, a stone that tells the slow memory of volcanoes and petrified forests. Each cabochon reveals infinite shades of green, like a canopy seen from the sky. Translucent areas appear, bordered with brown, recalling clearings flooded after a tropical shower, where the earth drinks deeply and life is renewed.

The silver setting, intentionally partially oxidized, evokes the mystery of the forest understory: raw like rock, dark like damp moss, irregular like the living expansion of a forest. The stones are accompanied by small hand-cut ferns, suspended like delicate vines, swaying with each step. They symbolize resilience and the persistence of life, capable of growing in shadow and humidity, like an ancient breath linking the visible and invisible worlds.

Each pair is unique, slightly asymmetrical due to the singular shapes of the stones and the free-cut ferns. It is this living, imperfect, and organic character that makes them natural symbols, carrying the memory of forests and the fertile energy of the rains.
