Rain, swirl cloud earrings in silver and paua

Rain is a pair of engraved silver earrings.

Each earring is composed of three elements recalling the phenomenon of rain: at the very top, a silver cloud is engraved with swirls and spirals, recalling its airy nature. It is then followed by a paua cabochon whose intense blue recalls the color of bodies of water, but also, although only in our imagination, the color of water. The last element evokes the movement of water as it falls to the ground, like raindrops.

These earrings also represent the cycle of life, for what would we be without the element of water in our daily lives? It is the most precious commodity we possess on this planet.

 

Metal: sterling silver (925).

Stone: paua.

Stone color: light blue, dark blue, black.

Total length of earrings: 2.87 in (7.3 cm).
