INSPIRATION
The Rock Art necklace is a silver piece of jewelry engraved with a deer hunting scene. This motif is inspired by the famous cave paintings of Barranc de la Valltorta, in the Valencia region of Spain. These prehistoric works of art date back to 10,000 BC, belonging to the Epipaleolithic period, and were discovered in the Cave of the Horses (Cova dels Cavalls). These paintings were classified as a historical monument in 1924.
To pay homage to this ancient painting, we chose a section where the silhouette of a man armed with a bow and arrows is clearly visible, aiming at a moving herd of deer. This dynamic scene is likely a representation of a battue, a collective hunt requiring the cooperation of several hunters.
To give this scene a unique and realistic dimension, we engraved it on a domed disc, adding volume and character to the piece. The rim of the disc is adorned with a tribal motif formed by a chain of triangles, symbols of strength and stability. These triangles also recall cooperation, essential for the success of prehistoric hunts.
The Rock Art necklace is a tangible connection to our ancestors and their way of life. Designed for prehistory enthusiasts, this necklace is the perfect choice to adorn your neck with elegance and historical depth. The engraving, created with a slightly rustic effect, evokes the raw and authentic character of this ancient era, adding a touch of old-world charm to a modern creation.
Express your passion for history and prehistoric art with this unique piece of jewelry, capturing the essence of a bygone era while offering a contemporary and sophisticated aesthetic.
