JEWELRY
INSPIRATION
The "A World in Balance" ring is a unique creation, centered around an Australian boulder opal. This gemstone evokes a volcanic and desert landscape against a twilight sky, capturing the raw and untamed majesty of nature. Its deep hues recall solidified lava, molten rocks, and the heat from the earth’s core. If this ring were to be associated with one of the four elements, it would undoubtedly be earth, in all its strength and ancient memory.
Triangular in shape, the opal is set on a matching plate textured with fine radiating lines that catch and reflect light, enhancing the evocative power of the volcano. This design echoes the strength and wild beauty of nature, transformed here into a refined and timeless piece of jewelry.
The ring rests on a band engraved in a Japanese style known as Kikko hanabishi, which can be found in our catalog. Japan, a country of strong volcanic activity where people live in harmony with the earth’s power, serves as the inspiration for this piece. It reflects a balance between destructive force and renewal, like islands rising from the waves after an eruption.
This ring is a reminder of our fleeting place on this earth and our responsibility to preserve it. It symbolizes the fragility and beauty of our world, as well as our duty to protect it. It embodies the idea of the ephemeral within the infinite, a meditation talisman that invites contemplation and reflection on our relationship with nature, life cycles, and the balance between destruction and creation.
