Hanami, cherry blossom earrings in silver and pink opal

Hanami is the Japanese tradition of admiring cherry blossoms that mark the return of spring in Japan. Families and friends gather beneath the trees to picnic and contemplate this fleeting spectacle, where petals dance in the wind like a light and poetic rain.

The cherry blossom, called sakura in Japan, embodies natural grace, softness, and virtue. A symbol of renewal, hope, and prosperity, its very short blooming season reminds us of the fragile beauty of life and the importance of fully enjoying every moment. For centuries, sakura blossoms have inspired artists, poets, and lovers of nature. They also evoke serenity, contemplation, and the cycle of the seasons.

These beautiful silver and Peruvian pink opal earrings are composed of three elements inspired by this Japanese tradition. First, an engraved cherry blossom flower opens this delicate trio. Beneath the flower rests a pale pink Peruvian opal cabochon set in silver, whose soft shades recall the pastel colors of sakura blossoms in spring. Finally, a tassel made of fine silver chains extends the piece with lightness, evoking the shower of petals that drifts through the air when cherry blossoms are carried away by the wind.
