O-Hanami, cherry blossom earrings in silver and pink quartz

Hanami is the Japanese custom of contemplating the blooming cherry trees that symbolize the renewal of spring in the Land of the Rising Sun. During this season, families and friends gather beneath the trees to share a meal or simply admire this fleeting beauty. When the wind moves through the flower-filled branches, the petals fall like a light and poetic rain announcing the return of warmer days.

The cherry blossom, called sakura in Japan, embodies natural grace, softness, and virtue. A symbol of renewal, hope, and prosperity, its very short blooming season reminds us of the fragile beauty of existence and the importance of fully enjoying every moment. For centuries, sakura blossoms have inspired artists, poets, and lovers of nature. They also evoke serenity, contemplation, inner peace, and the eternal cycle of the seasons.

These delicate O-Hanami earrings in silver and strawberry quartz are composed of three elements inspired by this Japanese tradition. A finely carved cherry blossom flower overlooks the piece like a branch in full bloom. At the center rests a strawberry quartz cabochon, also called strawberry quartz, cut into a teardrop shape and set in silver. Its pink shades recall the soft pastel tones of sakura blossoms illuminated by the light of spring. Finally, a tassel made of fine silver chains extends the jewel with movement and lightness, illustrating the shower of petals drifting through the air when blossoms are carried away by the wind.

Strawberry quartz, with its luminous inclusions and delicate color, enhances the romantic and refined aspect of this creation inspired by Japanese gardens and the poetry of the seasons.
