Daisy, flower ring in sterling silver

The Daisy ring is engraved with blooming daisy buds. This emblematic flower, often seen along paths in summer, is a perennial plant that grows in clusters on a long, upright stem. Its large flowers consist of white petals surrounding a yellow center, itself made up of numerous small sessile flowers. The white daisy thrives in open, sunny areas, dotting fields, wastelands, and roadside edges.

It is a symbolic flower in Europe, evoking a popular traditional game. Like the daisy, it is used in the famous petal-plucking game. This game involves pulling off the petals one by one while reciting “A little, a lot, passionately, madly, not at all,” revealing the feelings of the beloved. The last petal indicates the answer to the question “Does he/she love me?”

In the language of flowers, the daisy symbolizes kindness, simplicity, and innocence.

In the Middle Ages, knights would offer their ladies a crown of daisies before departing on a crusade, symbolizing their devotion and fidelity.

Known as “Daisy” in English, this name comes from the Old English “day’s eye,” referring to the flower’s cyclical opening and closing of petals with sunrise and sunset. Thus, the daisy is a solar symbol associated with light, vital energy, positivity, warmth, and also eternity.

The daisy is the birth flower for April, making this ring a perfect gift for those born in that month or for anyone who appreciates this flower full of meaning.
