Marquesan, Polynesian cross ring in sterling silver

The Marquesan Ring celebrates the Polynesian islands, weaving a connection between the cultures and legends of New Zealand, Hawaii, Easter Island, Samoa, Tonga, and French Polynesia. Engraved in silver and adorned with delicate details, it evokes a timeless attachment to the ancient traditions and fascinating stories of this region of the world.

At the center of this ring is the Marquesan cross, an iconic symbol rich in meaning. Also called the "Marquise Cross" or "Cross of the Marquesas," and locally known as "péké enata" or "peka 'enana," it embodies the union of the human and the divine. Its name translates to "cross with human figures" or "cross of men." The elegant lines of this cross form stylized human figures, creating a harmonious and balanced motif.

The Marquesan cross also carries spiritual and natural symbolism. It evokes the sacred harmony among the fundamental elements—earth, air, fire, and water—and represents the essential balance for a peaceful life in harmony with nature.

This Marquesan ring is also available in a wider version, called the "Grande Marquesan." The same design has been used as a wedding band, available in our collection under the name "Diapason."

Production time: 5 business days before shipping.

Thickness of the ring: this model can be made with thicknesses of 1 mm, 1.3 mm or 1.6 mm. For reference, go to the last photo of the slideshow.

The ring thickness on the model is 1 mm.

Important: depending on your finger size, the solder at the back of your ring will show an interruption in the pattern with a plain vertical and in order to keep an overall harmony. Each rind is custom made and each finish will also be custom made (please refer to the example picture at the end of the photo series).
