Nova corundum, astronomy earrings in silver and pink sapphire

The “Nova Corundum” earrings belong to a collection inspired by the sky and its extraordinary phenomena. In astronomy, a nova is a star that suddenly ignites, becoming a thousand times brighter for a few days before returning to its original form. This dazzling yet fragile spectacle guided the creation of these jewels.

Two pink sapphire cabochons, a vibrant stone associated with love, vitality, and openness of the heart, are set on a first silver disk slightly larger than the gem. Each ensemble is soldered off-center onto a second disk, evoking the irregularity and unpredictability of stellar bursts. The bezels holding the stones are textured with fine radiating lines, like waves of light bursting into the cosmic void.

Beneath each disk, five almond-shaped dangles swing delicately. Their shifting reflections create a moving shimmer, like sparks of light escaping from a stellar explosion. The earrings thus become a metaphor for a rare and precious instant: the brilliance of a star, the intensity of a fleeting feeling, a beauty that appears and then fades away.

These earrings are both celestial and feminine, an homage to the magic of the night sky and to the poetic force of the stars.
