Legend of the one thousand cranes, Japanese bird ring in sterling silver

The Japanese legend of the one thousand origami cranes says that that if you fold one thousand origami cranes in the same year, tied together, your wish will be granted (about love, health, happiness and longevity).

In order for your wish to become true, the “senbazuru” must be handmade for one particular person and for each crane you make, you have to make a prayer. If only one person makes the garland, it will have more impact as it represents perseverance and patience.

The senbazuru is generally gifted for the birth of a child, a wedding or an ill person. This garland is a symbol of peace and is often left in temples and prayer gardens.

Metal: sterling silver.

Width: 12 mm.

Manufacturing time: 5 business days.

Thickness of the ring: this model can be made with thicknesses of 1 mm, 1.3 mm or 1.6 mm. For reference, go to the last photo of the slideshow.

The ring thickness on the model is 1mm.

Important: depending on your finger size, the solder at the back of your ring will show an interruption in the pattern with a plain vertical and in order to keep an overall harmony. Each rind is custom made and each finish will also be custom made (please refer to the example picture at the end of the photo series).
