Bracelet with charoite
The charoïte is a rare stone that can only be found in one place in Russia. Its name comes from the Chara River in the Alban Mountains in Russia. The Russian word "chary" means "magic" or "charm".
This stone is from the silicate group. It was discovered in 1947 but it was only described and known in 1978. It can be found in the meta-somatic rocks of these Russian mountains. They were formed at a temperature between 200 and 250 degrees.
The color of the charoïte can go from purple hues to lilac and brown colors.
This stone was discovered quite recently and therefore, there are no stories about it.
The charoïte stone is a very beautiful stone due to its purple colors but is a rare stone due to the fact that its excavation is limited. The reason is that the only Russian region where you can find it is located in Siberia and is quite difficult to access.
